On-Line Monitoring Pops to Top Left Corner

On-Line Monitoring Pops to Top Left Corner

Soultion Update:

This issue has been solved by Microsoft via the following patch on Microsofts website.

This update should be available for general realease in the next round of windows updates.

When trying to set a skill level or log an agent in or out of a queue the on-line monitoring view pops to the top left corner of the screen (as shown) and cannot be adjusted.

This is a problem with Microsoft and an I.E. security patch KB2846071.  For BCM SP6 a workaround is being implemented.  In the mean time here is the link you use to track this Microsoft acknowledged problem:

Known issues with this security update

  • Windows Update will not offer this security update to Windows RT-based computers until update 2808380 has been installed. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
2808380 Windows RT-based device cannot download software updates or Windows Store apps
  • After you install the security update for Internet Explorer 9 or for Internet Explorer 10 that is described in Microsoft security bulletin MS13-055, you may experience the following issues when you access some websites:
    • A browser window automatically closes and logs you out of a web session.
    • Drop down menus are not correctly populated.
These issues mainly affect customized internal company websites.

Microsoft has confirmed this issue and will post more information in this article when an update becomes available.

This seems to be effecting IE9 and IE10 but not IE8.

Here is SAP's comment:

"In Monitoring Agent View queue matrix popup (mouse over, left click or right click of queue matrix cell) is positioned using event.screenX and event.screenY.
After KB2846071 those coordinates are not valid and popupwindows is opened to wrong position, top left corner of screen and half outside of screen area.

There is lot of discussion in the internet relating to this issue caused by Security Update KB2846071 and lot of demand that Microsoft should change the implementation so that event coordinates are not simply
disabled.

To avoid above issues caused by Security Update KB2846071 we recommend the customers to not install that update or remove it if it has been installed.
We will follow Microsoft and see if they are going to fix this issue or provide usable workaround."

To solve this issue you need to remove the Microsoft Security Patch KB2846071 from Add/Remove programs and reload your Internet Explorer page.  Then your window will align properly.
